The Open University's style of teaching is called 'supported open learning', also known as 'distance learning'. This means that you will be learning in your own time by reading course material, working on course activities and writing assignments. A lot of work will be done at home, and may require you to have access to a computer and the Internet. Depending on the course you may interact with a tutor via online tutorials, or over the phone. Some courses may have tutorials that you can attend, but these may not be compulsory and the location of tutorials will depend on the number of students and their general location.
